The footsteps of PT Samindo Resources Tbk in the coal industry nationwide had been pioneered long before the establishment of the holding company of coal mining services. Before the amalgamation into PT Samindo Resources Tbk, all subsidiaries had been in the domestic coal industry business. It has been more than sixteen years the subsidiaries were entrusted to administered the coal mine owned by PT KIDECO Jaya Agung located in East Kalimantan.
By the end of 2011 ST International Corporation as one of the respected companies from South Korea acquired the majority shareholders of PT MYOH Technology Tbk. Subsequent to such acquisition, PT MYOH Technology Tbk undertook corporate action by Right Issue I. The proceeds from the right issue is utilized by PT MYOH Technology Tbk to acquire the majority shareholders of PT SIMS Jaya Kaltim. In 2012, PT MYOH Technology Tbk changed its corporate name into PT Samindo Resources Tbk followed by the changed in its business direction becoming coal mining services. In the same year, PT Samindo Resources Tbk conducted another corporate action by having Right Issue II. The proceeds of such corporate action is utilized to acquire PT Trasindo Murni Perkasa, PT Samindo Utama Kaltim and PT Mintec Abadi.
